Today was optional hike day but most people sign up. I decided to challenge myself and signed up for Solstice. It was challenging but so rewarding. Everyone had warned me about the hike so I was ready for torture. But I was pleasantly surprised. Don't get me wrong, it was really really hard but I really enjoyed it. I was slow but consistent. I never stopped. I even did the optional hike up to the chimney and ran the last few steps when someone told me there was donuts. (They lied!) I definitely felt like it was God's country.

After the hike I went and relaxed on Point Dume beach - love this place
