I was so wired up from the kickboxing class last night that it was hard to fall asleep after the shower so getting up this morning was not pretty. I did not go to the optional stretch class, just went straight to breakfast. The breakfast was yummy we got 2 small pancakes with real maple syrup and egg beaters with lots of pepper - just like I like 'em, and of course fresh fruit.
The hike was at Charmley park and not far into the hike we met a rattlesnake. It was a nice size one. The guides got the pleasure of making sure it stayed away from us by putting themselves between the lovely creature and us as we walked by. They DO NOT get paid enough. It was a nice hike with gradual ups and downs. When we got to the top we had a nice view of the ocean and part of the path was covered by trees. But, I sucked wind again on this hike and want to know when this is supposed to start getting easier. Exact time and date please.My very first day here I met 2 guys - the first guests I met and I really haven't seen them much since. Today one of the guys came up to me and paid me the nicest compliment. He told me that my face looked thinner than the first time he saw me and that was just 6 days ago. He almost tried to apologize for the compliment in case I was offended, but I am a Southern girl, bring on the compliments. I just quickly said thank you. I was shocked though and really excited. Of course as soon as I got back to my room I looked in the mirror to see if I could tell. I have myself convinced that he was right.
In the afternoon I did 2 interval classes and a salsa class. I was not really that into the salsa for some reason so my calorie burn for today is down.
